I hold a Ph.D in Computer Science from the Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France. I was then member of the Sherpa project of INRIA Rhone-Alpes in Grenoble. In 1995 I held an industrial post doctoral fellowship from INRIA and the company ILOG in Paris.
In 1996 I joined what was then the Xerox Research Centre Europe. After some time spent with knowledge management, middleware, and contextual computing, I moved to the Computer Vision research area where I worked on topics like image categorization and automatic image enhancement.
In 2007 I joined the Work Practice Technology area. Here I initially focussed on a the Print Mediator project, aiming to facilitate color workflow. More recently I contributed to the Print Awareness Tool, a system providing its users with feedback on their printing habits and motivating them make it more sustainable. Currently I furthermore am involved in projects around crowd sourcing and sustainable mobility.
