A quick glance at visual few-shot classification.
About the speaker: Vincent Gripon is a Director of Research with IMT Atlantique and head of the BRAIn research team. He obtained his PhD with IMT Atlantique in 2011 and his HDR (Habiliitation à diriger des recherches) with ENS Lyon in 2020. Abstract: Unlocking the best levels of classification accuracy while using scarce training data is challenging. In this talk, we will overview the main solutions proposed in the field of vision, and show that simple techniques based on classical components can remain highly competitive. We will also discuss open problems and future directions of research in the field.
