NAVER LABS Europe conducts fundamental and applied research in domains such as computer vision, 3D vision, machine learning and robotics or more globally speaking, in artificial intelligence. In particular, we are exploring new directions of how AI can be used in the field of robotics to facilitate their usage in real-world environments.
We encourage active participation in the academic community and our researchers regularly collaborate with world-class public research groups. We also regularly publish in top tier venues of the mentioned research fields, and release open source code and datasets for public use, such as our Proxy Virtual Worlds dataset and our local feature extractor R2D2.
We are currently inviting applications from candidates who are excited about contributing to the invention and development of new methods and applications in the field of AI for Robotics.
Since, on the one hand, we work with multiple robot platforms (in-house and off-the-shelf) such as robot arms and mobile robots, and on the other hand, we invent and evaluate a large variety of methods, we are looking for candidates with a passion for software development and a hands-on attitude in order to help us advance faster in the field.
NAVER LABS Europe has full-time positions, PhD and PostDoc opportunities throughout the year which are advertised here and on international conference sites that we sponsor such as CVPR, ICCV, ICML, NeurIPS, EMNLP etc. NAVER LABS Europe is an equal opportunity employer.
NAVER LABS are in Grenoble in the French Alps. We have a multi and interdisciplinary approach to research with scientists in machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, ethnography and UX working together to create next generation ambient intelligence technology and services that deeply understand users and their contexts.
